The 30BaD Raw Retreat Video & Blog
So here I am back from the raw retreat!
I have just had one of the best week’s of my life! It is just so fantastic to spend time with like-minded individuals from all over the World, my dream is to turn my life into one big continuous raw retreat.
The fruit was amazing and we had an abundance too (thanks to Clint-the fruit farm owner), which included – Jakfruit, lychee’s, many varieties of mangoes, green, white, chocolate and yellow sapotes, icecream bean, mammey’s, watermelon, jaboticaba’s, coconut, miracle fruit, a few different varieties of bananas all topped off with some durian and sugarcane samples.
Everyone really gelled nicely and we became a close little community during those 7days, I am now very inspired to throw more retreats. The next one is looking like it will be here at Rob’s place, we are staying here now, it’s absofruitly beauty-full! We are aiming for Mar/April so stay tuned!
I really enjoyed putting on the group fitness classes and everyone seemed to have a blast, I wish I got some video of the ‘melon workouts’ (where we replaced a medicine ball with a melon) and if anyone dropped the melon they had to run to the farm gate and back about 300metres away….funny no drops
I also gave a vision-book class which went well and I’m also excited to develop upon.
DR gave some cracker talks and also was interviewed by the media during the retreat…I have been visualising him on Oprah, I can see it happening, just not sure when. He gave talks about hydration, raw nutrition, succeeding socially on raw, sleep and various other topics, I wish i was able to get them all on film but I had issues with sound quality because the talks were given outside where it was slightly windy….can any one recommend some good light vid recording equipment to buy?
Nick gave lovely yoga classes every morning which left everyone nice and chilled out. Clint made a running track which everyone lapped most days, we even had a few time trials which was fun. The Creek was a very popular spot, it was extremely refreshing after our morning lap and fitness class, I even took a few aqua fitness classes there!
We had an outdoor projector which was very cool, we showed some consciousness-building doco’s under a million star ceiling!
All in all it was a very successful retreat and future one’s can only get better and better. We are also looking at Koh Phangan, Thailand as a possible retreat destination in May 2010, express your interest here or on 30BaD
So here’s the vid! Enjoy
Tomorrow will be a photo blog of the retreat most likely
