Fruit Appreciation Hour…

by rawfitbitch

Today’s blog is all about fruit & how amazing it is!! Forget 2-5 a day! Eat 15kg!! I love my ‘dessert diet’ :) I had
mountains of fruit today, maybe 8kgs of oranges & 400gms of dates

20kms on the bike today, lots of internet time. Had moments of sun appreciation which was beauty-full!
Tomorrow I’m up for my morning run and maybe follow with some ashtanga yoga. So let’s get onto fruit shall we?!

I feel so amazingly wholesome and connected to Mother Earth when I eat fruit…
What other food is there on the planet that comes close to the beauty of fruit?… Zip

Sometimes I feel as though I’m living a frugivore’s fairytale as I get to munch all the fruit I want :)
So I thought a ‘fruit appreciation hour’ was in order…(it took me an hour to compile this blog)

Fruit is non-addictive and does not create cravings as salt, and other cooked processed foods do. Those who live on a high percentage of fresh fruit find themselves sharp-minded, vibrantly energetic and free of common health concerns.

* Fruit is the most easily digested food on the planet, it requires almost no digestion
* Fruit comes closer to meeting our physiological requirements more than any other food
* Fruit is the highest nutrient-per calorie food, so you get more nutrition per bite than any other food on the planet!
* Fruit leaves an alkaline residue in the bloodstream

Sacred Geometry

* Fruit contains soluble fiber that is soft on our delicate pink digestive system unlike grains which are full of insoluble fibers which act like shards of glass
* Fruit requires no preparation, it comes in a neat little colourful package that is irresistable to our senses
* Fruit contains basically the same amount of water as our bodies & the planet! There is no over food on the planet that contains an average of 80% waterIMGP0635
* The protein in fruits is already in its simplest form and is ready to be absorbed and assimilated
* Fruit is ethically ‘clean’ so you can enjoy bounties of fruit with the knowledge that no animal died for your meal
* Fruit has everything you need: water, fiber, vitamins, minerals, fats, carbs, protein & more, all in the perfect ratio’s for humans
* Unlike most other food, fruit has no adverse side-effects on health. Eat as much as you like and you will only gain vibrancy!
* Fruit is a ripened ovary, fertilised through pollination
* Eat just fruit for a week and say goodbye to your candida overgrowth
* The tastebuds on the tip of our tongues are designed to crave sweet fruit
* Fruit contains no cholesterol, uric acid, saturated fat or adrenaline like animal products
* Fruit will help you reach your natural slim body weight quickly and those who think fruit makes you fat are not eating 100% fruitRed Dragonfruit
* Fruit is vital for optimal functioning of the hormonal system, which directly impacts fertility and weight loss.
* A fruit diet will lead to the lightest menstruation you have ever experienced!
* Fruit is packed with anti-oxidants and slows down aging.
* Fruit reduces your risk of cancer, heart disease, arthritis, stroke, diabetes & much more
* If you want your skin to glow eat high water content fruits
* The peeps of Honduras (central America) eat the most fruit in the world averaging 540pounds of fruit per year, twice the amount of Americans….I think I eat 4 times that much!
* Bananas originated in the Indo-Malaysian region reaching to northern Australia.
* If you were to eat a different fruit everyday for the rest of your life you still wouldn’t have tried every fruit on the planet!!papaya

Just to finish…There seems to be a fear of fruit amongst the confused public. There are plenty of peeps who think fruit makes you fat, this is a myth. Then there are others who think it causes candida & blood-sugar problems…usually this is closely followed by the dreaded ‘fruit-bashing’ syndrome, here is a pic to demonstrate…

The poor fruit cops a bashing everytime! Even though it’s not the fruit at all that’s the culprit but actually what foods we already have in our stomach/intestinal tract that is causing the problem. Fruit is like a jealous partner, it wants you all to itself, it likes to travel through your digestive system alone and not meet anyone else down the ‘line’ (so to speak).
Oh yeh and fruit makes you cute!

oh p.s- This lovely lady has been eating only fruit (with the occasionally greens) for the past 18years or more!

    Hi Freelee

Just found your site thanks to Rick. I am also doing the 30day challenge and am not a big fan of the green smoothies but just love love love fruit. I have been looking into the 80/10/10 diet and feel this might suite me better although I am not an athlete. I love Harleys blog site also. This is great sleepy old South Australia is getting the raw food buzz.

Thank you so much :-) )
To work out on the grams of protein based on 10% of calories on a 3000 cal day. Divide 300 (10% of 3000) x 4 (4 grams of protein per calorie) = 75 grams
So glad to hear you are on the path with me!
