Hello Freelee,

Oh I enjoyed your post, thanks - and I totally agree, that your group of friends do indeed change for the better. Its better to love old friends with old habits from a distance.
Must tell you that since I went fruitarian, I now have met 2 other fellow fruitarians in the same suburb as me (how is that possible!?) Roan & Bjorn and my best friend Lelanie also went raw vegan still transitioning.

Life is so ***sweet** :D

xxxtake care and thanks for inspiring millions of peeps!;)

Hi
First thanks for the tipps.
Then I wanted to respond about Liza´s comment.
On one side you arde right, we shouldn´t intrude people´s life about what they eat.
But why is it ok for them intruding my life?
last summer i was by my sister and her boyfriend.
We really get along great together, but about eating...
They were many times saying they think my diet is not healthy..
while they ate like 200g of meat each a day, eating no vegetables or fruit(or maybe 1 a week) and callinga bit of green salad drowned under 100g of pork meat, 2 eggs each, 150g of fatty cheese and of course oil in the sauce a "healthy salad".
first few comments, i didn´t say nothing, but after a few days, i cracked..i prouved them with a calories calculator, that their "healthy salad" was actually made of 90% fat.
The thing is, eating meat isn´t natural. If a cow dies in front of you, you wont get the instinct to eat it...We are no lion or dog or what other animals who eat meat.
I know verry few "healthy" people.actually just 1. all people i know otherwise allways have some sickness. So maybe befor they allow themself to judge th 80/10/10 diet as "unhealthy" they should know about what they are talking about and check their own health situation.
Befor raw food, beeing 1 year vegetarian, i still had many problems.
Feeling verry often tired, having candida (i Know I had á while after doing raw food, long time after it was gone) ., sluginess, feeling lazy, not having lust to do stuff, beeing emotionally verry sensitiv, with tending to depressin. It´s all gone.
I understand when Freelee says that your friend will change too.at first they are a bit unsure about your diet, but with time, they see how radiant you are gonna be, how healthy...my husband went vegetarian 1 and an half year after i did, short after i started raw food...and he told me i inspired him so...I keep the good work and hope my other relative will change a bit their bad habbits, even though i love them the way they are .

So I think we covered this on 30bad hey Liza? When you are 100% LFRV for a long period of time this will all make more sense to you :)

another thing...I don't see why adopting a new diet should cause my social group to "change for the better" and get more "raw friends". I love my friends, and I don't pick them based on what they eat.

again, no offense meant, I just think that alienation is a big issue for many raw foodists, and not everyone is willing to isolate themselves from their current "SAD friends" because they have adopted 811.

no offense, but I wouldn't be willing to follow a lot of the tips listed here. for instance, I think it's just plain rude to refer to someone else's dinner as a dead chicken carcass. I understand where you're coming from ethically, but that sounds more like "how to make other people feel bad about what they're eating" than "how to succeed socially on LFRV". I think the last thing people want to do while they're eating is get into debates about food ideology. this makes social situations hella awkward...nobody likes to hear someone preach about bananas as they enjoy their soup/steak whatever.
the strategy that works best for me is to brush off comments with a sense of humour, and respect everyone else's dietary choices. just my two cents.
