An Attitude Of Gratitude…
We spent breakfast in a van this morning, the 30BaD mobile office (although we don’t move anywhere in it). The owner of the organic shop temporarily invited us to set up inside because it was sooo cold & rainy outside, sure he thinks we are pretty fruity (he may be onto something
. Breakfast consisted of 5kgs of melon each while we hung on 30 bananas a day.
The other photo is of one of the Organic Shops we frequent in Adelaide called ‘Real Organics’, it is very plentiful as u can see, some amazing gourmet toms in there….
This morning I ran further than I usually do … about 7kms in the hills. Sprinted back down the hill afterwards…really feeling the HGH (human growth hormone) release after sprinting, I used to be a champion sprinter in my younger years but got interested in boys & subsequently lost my focus! Yes still contemplating a half marathon on Sunday, Im pretty keen to do it as I feel my running fitness is really getting up to scratch.
During my run I started to feel my legs & my mind wondered to how much the run was hurting…then I shifted my focus & started thinking about how my dad only has one leg & hasn’t run since he was 19years old!..I started to feel this overwelming sense of gratitude for my legs…I HAVE LEGS! How fortunate am I?! There are people out there without any limbs at all….
It is so easy to become complacent & lose appreciation for the simple things in life like being able to run or even walk…If I ever feel challenged in any moment I now shift my focus to what I love about myself & all the abundance I am surrounded with.
4 things I am Grateful for Today:
My strong, functional legs
The sun peaking out behind the clouds
The level of communication DR & I share
That I have fingers to type this post with
Getting in the habit of recording 4 things u are grateful for daily is very powerful.
So….What are you grateful for today??!??
