How to succeed socially on low fat raw

IMG_0678

Melon baby

It’s great to receive all your awesome feedback regarding my posts thanks!

Had a great day, covered about 38kms on my bike in and around town…the sun hugged me warmly the whole time. Spent part of my day in the shitty- oh excuse me..the ‘city’ getting my Macbook fixed. While I was waiting I decided to go for a stroll through the Mall….I stopped & looked around & was disappointed by what i saw…lots of lies. I can see why young girls & boys develop eating disorders & poor self-image

…there are anorexic manequins in almost every window, photo-shopped pics of stunning gazelle-like women who don’t even make up 1% of the population, endless supplies of makeup available to fakeup your natural beauty… massive in-your-face advertisements of how to smooth your lines, burn away your wrinkles, fade your freckles & remove ‘unsightly’ birthmarks…

mannequins

Oh a smile & a tan is waay sexier!

Oh what are we being subjected to?!? Aren’t we amazing enough the way we are?! Apparently not…It is sooo important to build our beauty from the inside first so true beauty radiates out. You are BEAUTY-FULL! just believe it.

So today I am going to share my tips on succeeding socially on a low fat raw vegan lifestyle, yes it IS possible!!

Situation: Invited to a restaurant:

* Firstly ask what type of food the restaurant serves… if its ‘Steaks R Us’ then I recommend you maintain your high standards & decline dining in that deathly environment, use your best judgment with other places

* Have a large fruit meal just before you go out so you are totally satiated.

* Take an avocado/nuts/dried fruits with you to dress up your salad

* Blend up DateOrade (soaked dates & water) & take it with you to the restaurant & sip whenever temptations arise (maybe take it in a dark bottle to disguise brown chunky liquid ;-)

* Once at restaurant order a large salad with ONLY the ingredients you want like tom, lettuce, cucc etc…, that way you don’t have to peruse the menu & baffle the waiter with… ‘ Ummm…Can i get the salad minus the chicken, bacon, ranch dressing, croutons, onions, capers, garlic, oil, vinegar, chilli, salt….aarrrgh!! Save your sanity.

* If the salad comes out & its acceptable then keep ordering them! You shouldn’t need too many if you ate enough fruit before dinner & the cooked meals around you will not be appealing if you are full of sweet goodness

* When peeps ask you ‘why are you eating that way?…do u have an eating disorder?’…You can come back with ‘ I really enjoy looking after myself & I have received this, this & this benefit from eating this way..’ without a doubt they will continue to question you because they want to feel good too…

* Depending on the relationship you have with your fellow diners….you could also say ‘I’m trying a special diet at the moment, I feel great so far’

* If you get the standard ‘Where do u get your protein/calcium/iron/omega fats etc you could reply with ‘everything we need is within whole fresh fruits & greens…’- a typical response…’ buuuuut there’s no protein in fruits & vegies?!?!’..to which you could say – ‘Yes actually there is & in the perfect ratios for humans & here is a great site to check out exactly what nutrients are in fruits & greens….nutridiary.com or CronOmeter.

A few typical responses….

* ‘But you’ve got an eating disorder!!!’….’- so you consider ripping apart a dead chicken carcass is eating in order?’ (ofcourse it depends on what they are eating!)

* ‘Oh I could NEVER do that diet!!!’…. ‘yeh you’re probably right’ – good response if you’re not keen on an interaction with this person, best to say with a smile :)

* ‘Its too extreeeeeme for me!!’ – Check out this girl who said the same thing when she found out about living on rawfood….& now she has been doing it successfully 100% for 2years…sweetjuicyfreelee.com or use one of the examples from the entry before this one.

* ‘I bet you’re the only one on that crazy diet…’ Send them to 30bananasaday.com & they will find doctors, lawyers, professional athletes & everyday peeps succeeding on a low fat raw vegan lifestyle.

Some Extra Tips…

* Join a low fat raw vegan forum & contribute so you feel part of the community
* Hold yourself to a higher standard & surround yourself with peeps of similar caliber
* Do the lifestyle 100% & be a shining example…others will have much more faith in your ways if you look the part
* Host a local raw vegan picnic or throw a ‘fruit party’…they are ‘in vogue’ at the moment & most peeps are craving something different
* Prioritize your diet AHEAD of your social life, no one likes to hang around an unhealthy person anyway

Lastly remember your social group will begin to change for the better… the more raw you are the more awesome raw friends & experiences u attract into your life, you will be pleasantly suprised by the amazing friendships you forge!

Ok off to bed!!

Fruits & Greens are Extremely fun!!

Eating 100% fruits & greens is too extreeeeeme!!

This is what ripe narnaz look like!

Activity: 10mins of dancing, 7km hill run, 2 x sets of bicep curls & shoulder press, handstands

Eats: 20 bananas & about 300gms dates, 1/2 celery

What I got up to...Spent most of the day on the web today, it can be quite addictive….there is so many questions about LFRV to answer & I want to answer them all yesterday!

My Rant…I often get peeps saying to me ‘Ahh but eating just fruits & greens is tooo extreeeeme!’…I find this so funny that its actually challenging for me to put my feelings into words….ok I’ll try……I came up with what I think are lifestyle-related extremes in Society…

* Cooking food that has already been cooked by the sun…when is putting a flame to something ever going to make it MORE than it was before??

* Eating tin fish that has been pulled out of a polluted ocean that comes with no use-by date?

* Drinking down ‘carb gels’ that cannot be given to pregnant womyn or children & are clearly labelled ‘this product is NOT a source of nutrition’….its dangerous & void of nutrition, remind me why are we eat these substances again????? extreme…

* Trying to mimic fruit with cakes, lollies, breads, pasta’s etc…these are all carbohdrate foods which are created out of a need for fruit. Every cell in the human body runs on glucose, give your body what it needs naturally!Fruits & Greens are Extremely fun!!
* Immunizing our children- directly injecting poison into our loved little ones…Also giving ‘baby Nurofen’

* Colonics – Happily having a pipe plugged up our bums to try to counteract the disgraceful lifestyle most of us lead, instead of addressing the cause & changing our lifestyle

* Expecting health by eating algae or sludge off the bottom of the ocean that is marketed as a Superfood?

* Comfortably sitting down to a meal of roasted baby cow carcass & saying ‘Grace’

* Having an animal for a pet & also for a meal?

* Grinding up ‘Deer Antler’ to eat & saying its nourishing for blood, bones & kidneys – oh come on!

* Eggs – Steeling another animals menstruation & then eating it as a meal! extreme….

* Radiation ‘therapy’ for cancer patients, helping them check off the planet more quickly instead of addressing their ‘lack’ lifestyle.

* Having ‘slaughter houses’…come on doesn’t the name just make u cringe? As Paul M said ‘If slaughter houses had glass walls, we’d all be vegetarian…’

* 2.4 trillion dollars goes towards the so-called ‘fight against terror’ in the US (estimated over the next 10years) when as many as 650,000 peeps are dying every year from heart disease!!!!!!! But eating a fruit diet is too extreme….

* Buying & eating packaged food with a 5year used-by date in preference to eating a piece of whole fresh fruit which is full of precious water & nutrients.

* There are nations of peeps starving while they are surrounded by plentiful fruit trees!… but u can’t survive on just fruit meals?!?….. If u want to thrive not just survive then fruit is the perfect meal.

* Giving our hospital patients meat & milk as a recovery meal…

…..BUT EATING FRUIT IS TOO EXTREME!!

IMGP0543

Fruit appreciation last year in Asia

I know in my heart & soul that nature didn’t get it wrong,we are designed to eat 100% whole, fresh, ripe, raw, fruits with some greens. If you ever feel that eating a diet soley of fresh, whole, fruits & greens is too extreme then I invite you to take a closer look at what you are currently eating & ask yourself …’how far from nature is this meal & what resources/lives did it take to bring it to me…?’

Why I went back to cooked food…

organic athlete

Im an organic athlete :)

Durianrider’s talk last night was great, lots of controversial topics were covered, plenty of raised brows & random nervous giggles :) I really admire DR for his commitment to making this world a better place, admirable.

Exercise Yesterday : 38kms on bike, 7km hill run,
Today: 20kms on bike
Eats today: 5kg melon half, 3kg oranges, 10 banana smoothie

So I was thinking today – what is the biggest reason peeps don’t succeed on the low fat raw vegan lifestyle..? Personally I can unequivocally pinpoint why I fell off the raw wagon in Sept 07….here’s what happened…

I had been 100% raw for 9months when I started dating guys off RSVP (a dating site), I started to become increasingly disappointed at the fact that I couldn’t find a raw man (ahuh what are the chances?).

Taking the refuse for composting

Taking the refuse for composting

Just as I had habitually done in the past I started to question my weight, foolishly pinpointing it as being the limiting factor in my lack of romance.. as a result I developed a complex that I was too fat (I was 57kg) so I started to undereat…

I was down to eating such small amounts of fruit that every cooked food smell drove me crazy! I knew I needed to eat more calories but I became secretly obsessed… I was right into my yoga at the time & most of my yogi friends ate very minimally (& this was reflected in their low energy levels), they were also keen on practicing dauhti (which was totally against my instincts & is another topic!)

At first I went back to a high fat raw diet to fill the void (calorie deficit) with fat but as a result started undereating on carbohydrates (if u are eating excess fat then u will be undereating on carbs).

….Next thing u know I’m out on a date with an ‘RSVP’er’ having baked vegies in oil & salt. I remember him saying ‘hey but you only eat raw food don’t u?’ I was like ‘ Oh yeh um… occasionally I eat cooked food…’ & then & there I confirmed it to the universe… that cooked food was on the menu again..

Clint's Organic Shop

Clints Organic Shop

My true self was hungry for nutrition but my body’s survival instincts took charge & began steering me towards denser calorie sources (which just happens to be cooked food). This situation could’ve been avoided if I was simply eating enough fruit . Its not rocket science but it is science.

Now days I know how to eat enough calories & as a result I have the energy to exercise & maintain my fitness . The added bonus is that when i am fit my weight just takes care of itself !

The Symptoms I experienced as a result of undereating…maybe u can identify with some…

* Preoccupied with food, esp cooked food which took on a whole new ‘apeel’

* Always wanting to make gourmet raw meals (mimicking cooked food) & would constantly be perusing gourmet raw recipes

* Heavy legs that would scream at the thought of exercise

* I would regularly take things personally (when it was rarely about me at all)

* Had no motivation to do dynamic movement & started to question our need for high intensity exercise…became more interested in meditation (which is great but be aware this can be a sign of undereating)

* Became emotionally unstable extremely quickly & would ‘fly off the handle’ very easily

* I become a skinny fat person because I didn’t have the energy to do anything, my muscle atrophied from lack of calories & use

* I would get angry with DR when he used to run down the road after me with a banana smoothie in hand….he knew the deal.

* I had Less energy to give to others in person, I would avoid too much conversation as it drained me, every ounce of my vitality was being used just to get me through the day.

* I couldn’t muster up much passion to talk about rawfood with others or when I gave talks which resulted in a less than enthusiastic crowd.

* I started to be obsessed with the idea of breatharianism

* I became depressed & started to question the raw lifestyle & look for reasons not to do it

* My self-esteem lowered considerably as a result of my ‘under-sugared’ state, yes I even became suicidal

* I would ALWAYS end up bingeing, when I was raw- it was nuts, avo, dates. When I was cooked – pasta, choc, lollies (carbs)…after the binges I would beat myself up & think I was just undisciplined instead of identifying a calorie deficit.

* Life just wasn’t as fruity…

todays office

Todays office at home..

If u identify with any other these undereating symptoms i suggest you go to nutridiary.com & work out how many calories u need to maintain your current weight, aim for this figure with sweet juicy fruits.

At least 3000 calories for men & 2000 calories for womyn.

Ciao for now!!

Don’t be a Candida-Feeder!!!!!

Melon Munching!Activity : 40kms Biking

Eats: 5kg half melon ( in pics), 6 big mangoes, 600mls of DateOrade, 3kg oranges, salad of mango, tom, date zuchinni.

It started off a little brrrr this morning but warmed up quite nicely, we spent breakfast in the carpark of the local Fruit shop (dining in style).

DR & I shocked passers by with the size of our meals – 5kg melon halves each! Some giggled, some looked over nervously & powerwalked past , but most smiled ear to ear & called out funny comments like ‘boy you’ll be on the toilet for the rest of the day after that!!’….I guess i could’ve called back ‘ Better than going once a week eh?’…I wouldn’t say that (DR might) but Im imagining that’s their reality.

So I was thinking about Candida today & how I easily overcame my imbalance within 5 days….I searched for a cure to my candida woes for YEARS! Most of the advice was to cut out all forms of sugar ,ofcourse including fruit…I remember feeling so sad when I was told fruit had to go :( I knew in my heart tho that we wouldn’t be separated for very long.

I followed the metabolic typing diet for a while (approx 1 month), usually i would give a diet a longer go than this but I felt as though I was going to die! For my fast oxidizer ‘metabolic-type’  I was recommended to eat a high protein, high saturated fat diet!! Aaaarrgh man that’s crazy! But i was desperate at the time so I was willing to try anything….My breakfast was fried livers in lard or full fat butter, nuts for a snack, roast chicken for lunch…( I used to eat a whole one,(oh thank god im 3yrs vegan now) & for dinner more protein like lamb chops & some overcooked sloppy vegies..

random shots - good to see this is directed at the mainstream

I became very depressed, very quickly from eating this way….saturated fats clogging my arteries, denatured proteins eating away at my calcium reserves, uric acid burning a whole in my stomach, low carbohydrate stores causing me to question my sanity! Aaaarghh it had to stop! I would go a couple of days without eating fruit then just go crazy & binge on bucketloads of sugar – chocolate, cakes, breads, pasta’s,thai food, lollies….all carbohydrate-dense foods – a sign the brain is searching for a hit, searching for fuel desperately, because without a steady clean source of glucose to the brain, we will start to go crazy…Im not suprised that anti-depressants are so popular – we have a starving population that isn’t making the brain runs on sugar connection…we are conditioned to think a pill is more valuable than fruit.

Candida is not our enemy, candida is vital to our survival.  This little microbe helps regulate our blood sugar levels, its normal for everyone to have it in their bloodstreams at certain levels…its when Candida ‘mushrooms’ out of control…then we have a problem. Candida microbes only survive a short period of time, just days at most.

When our pancreas is overworked by a high fat diet then our adrenal glands come to the aid of the pancreas… when the adrenals are stressed beyond their ability the candida microbes comes to the rescue & eat up the excess blood sugar – excess sugar in the blood can be life-threatening…  The candida saves our life! Hooray for the candida microbe!

The Adrenal Glands…
Most of us eat excessive amounts of fat and live such an adrenaline-junkie lifestyle that we are constantly overworking our adrenal glands. When adrenaline is released it creates a surge of insulin resulting in the sugars in the bloodstream being made more available to the cells, hence the super human efforts we see when peeps get an ‘adrenaline rush’.

Whenever there is high fat foods consumed the adrenal glands have to produce more adrenaline… why? Because excessive fat hinders the transport & delivery of the sugar to the cells. When our poor adrenal glands are stressed again & again by high fat intake, without getting time to recover, like anything they become overworked & tired & the result is adrenal fatigue/chronic fatigue syndrome/candida overgrowth/diabetes/hyper&hypoglycemia.

So candida is our friend & if we remove the cause of it mushrooming out of control then we won’t have a problem.  So what to do?… Adhere to proper food-combining and remove the excess fat from your bloodstream, keep the percentage of fat calories you consume below 10% over the course of the year and life will be sweet! Read ‘The 80-10-10 Diet’ by Dr Doug Graham and take your health to the next level.

Just as it has worked for me & everyone else – A low fat raw vegan lifestyle will address your candida imbalance -so u will no longer be a candida-feeder!! For several days I ate a diet of bananas only & within 5days my candida was happy again & today it remains so.

DR is giving a talk tomorrow night on Candida & Fatloss, I might say a few words, if u are in SA come along, more details here..

12 reasons Im RAW baby!!

Activity: 7km run in the hills of heaven!

Eats: 15 bananas, 100gms dates, 4kg of oranges, zuch salad – mango/tom/carrot pulp/date chopped over zuch’s

Gratitude: For this raw path im on, the bed Im about to jump in, the tan i got today & the abundance I manifest daily!

Tom,mango, young carrot pulp, dates chopped over zuchinniIMG_0573

Ok so continuing on from last nights post….

Some reasons I follow a Low Fat Raw Vegan Lifestyle

These reasons could also be expanded upon a lot but bed is calling…

  • Compassion -Grains are an animal rights crime, deforestation for grain crops wipes out animals habitats & kills millions in the process.  No animal suffers for my meal.
  • Health -430 thousand Americans died of heart attacks last year due to cooked food animal product consumption.  I have less painful or painless very light periods . My digestion & bowel movements are so regular & perfect!
  • Physiology – Fruits & greens meet my nutritional needs more closely then ANY other food on the planet
  • Taste - Raw food doesn’t need salt or condiments, it has more flavour then cooked food once our tastebuds are clean & ready to receive
  • Nature condones it – Nature produces beautyfull colourful wholefood designed to catch our attention & tempt us with sweetness, if we eat her food will get rewarded with vibrant health & well being. No destruction results from picking fruit.
  • Appearance – I look better than I ever have before! Clear skin, white teeth & eyes, thicker hair, stronger nails, slimmer
  • Physical performance - More energy & stamina all round – food quality impacts directly on our physical & emotional bodies, emotionally I’m more stable & in control of my state than ever
  • Money Saver – I save money on the following – Doctors bills, scripts, restaurant outings, packaged foods, vitamins, diet gimics.. so much!
  • Stronger friendships – I have forged lifelong relationships that are built on raw truth & integrity
  • Spiritual advancement- To raise my vibration, fruits & greens are the highest vibrating foods on the Earth which have already been cooked by the sun once, why cook them again?!?! Expect the most clarity u have ever had eating this way
  • Convenience - I don’t clean  anymore dirty dishes smeared with animal grease or cooked food remanents
  • Environmental –  More than half the U.S. grain and nearly 40 percent of world grain is being fed to livestock, imagine how much land has to be cleared to produce these quantities? Also top soil is destroyed. Using fire is responsible for so many environmental crimes…putting a flame to our food puts a flame to our Planet!!

Some extra reasons to go Vegan!

  • It takes up to 100,000 litres of water to produce 1kg beef
  • Meat production requires huge amounts of land, energy and water – which leads to habitat loss, soil erosion, water depletion, and pollution from pesticides and animal waste.
  • A typical pig factory farm generates a quantity of raw waste equal to that of a city of 12,000 people.
  • 450 million chickens are killed every year in Australia
  • If they continue to clear American forests to raise cattle at the present rate, in 50 years there will be none left
  • Pressure on land due to meat farming leads to soil erosion 6billion tons/year in the USA
  • The destruction of the rainforest by cattle farmers is destroying the lungs of the planet & reducing the worlds capacity to replenish our oxygen supply
  • Each year 15,000,000,000 land animals are slaughtered for food & an unknown but much larger number of sea creatures (including 1000′s of dolphins caught accidentally)
  • Meat is full of traces of antibiotics, hormones, toxins produced by stress & pesticide residues that become concentrated from all the crops they have eaten

Why am I LFRV?

Activity today :

Me & mango, tomato, coriander over cuccumber with orange juice dressing

Me & mango, tomato, coriander over cuccumber with orange juice dressing

35kms on the bike

5 salutes to the sun

Food:

10 banana smoothie

300gms of white mulberries (oh god amazing!!!)

8 mangoes

Spiralized salad(recipe below photo)

200gms dried organic figs

Gratitude:

for all the brilliant white mulberries i relished

because I got to give sugar to others

that i got to meet one of my clients in person today

for the steel ‘horse’ i ride…

I helped out at the Organic Shop today, it was fun, I picked white mulberries out the back of the shop inbetween busy times, amazing incredible flavor!  Every customer who came in I offered them some  mulberries, their eyes lit up as soon as the sweetness hit their tongues…was nice to witness.

I realize its challenging for most peeps to consider a raw lifestyle & I know there is more to succeeding on a LFRV lifestyle than just eating lots of fruit! Apart from eating large quantity of fruit there is addressing the beliefs we hold close to us that govern our every decision we make in life.  I have some techniques I have found very effective in changing some of my own beliefs..

The most important thing we can do to bring about change is to RAISE OUR STANDARDS…Most peeps have pretty low standards & expectations for their existence.  We only get one go at this right? lets make this a life to remember! Doesn’t your belly deserve better than that dead carcass? raw cheesecake or tofu burger? Ofcourse it does! U can choose to be the healthiest person u know…everything is just a choice in the moment.

Pic from other day berry pickin'

Pic from other day berry pickin'

Do u want to be just another zombie sleep-walking through life? Or do u want to create a brilliant presence that not only inspires yourself but also others? What a gift to give….If we don’t raise our standards change will always be temporary, we may be ‘good’ for a while & eat lots of fruit because we are told its healthy for us or we want to lose weight etc but pretty soon we will resort back to our old standards because we have not gone to the root of the problem. In saying this we also need to have a good supply of nutrition to our bodyminds to support any sort of self-development, so finding a balance is vital.

Yellow Dragonfruit I had the other day

When I first went raw vegan 3years ago I did so for my health, i had chronic digestive distress, acne, depression & candida overgrowth.  I also liked the weightloss aspect so this was also high on my reasons for going raw & what happened as a result?…I went back to cooked food…I wanted to get super lean (a mental side effect of working in one of the biggest gyms in Aussieland!…) I simply didn’t have enough leverage to stay raw so I started to sabotage & undereat, undereating on raw = cooked food everytime.

The point im making is you need real leverage to stay on this path!! YOu need some good reasons, I made this connection after my fall back into cooked food & so I decided to RAISE MY STANDARDS & really build my resolve with some worthwhile reasons to stay raw…

*   Cooked food = murder of animals, their habitats & the planet

….to be continued….ahh sorry!!  will update this blog tomorrow so stay tuned for my raw reasons…

20 LFRV tips!

Went for a shorter run today, 6km sweat session followed by some nude sun worshipping. I can’t stress enough how important this vital nutrient is for health.  We have glands between our legs & under our arms that need stimulation from the sun, it helps regulate our hormones.

Munchies today were 15 bananas in smoothie form, 2kg oranges, 5 big mangoes & a large tom, basil, cucc, zucc, orange juice dressing salad. I love eating this much & not gaining weight or feeling heavy, the majority of what i am eating is just water! How fattening can water be?? Not very trust me.

I feel like sharing some tips on how to succeed on a Low Fat Raw Vegan lifestyle….

  1. If you are a male aim to eat at least 3000 calories from fruit a day. Females a minimum of 2500 a day.Download CronOmeter and work out your calories. Make sure you a getting a minimum of 80% of your calories from carbs, max of 10% from fat and 10% from protein.
  2. If u are attracted to eating cooked food or feel like making a high fat gourmet raw meal then u haven’t eaten enough fruit during the day
  3. Check out the article I wrote under ‘My Articles’ TAB about eating enough sugar.
  4. Eat your fruit ripe always! Use all your senses – sight, touch & smell to choose your fruit.  Unripe fruit will negatively impact your digestion. Check out this thread about fruit ripeness.
  5. Eat high water content fruits early in the day & move onto denser fruits as the day goes on.
  6. If u are feeling emotional, check to make sure u have had enough SWS – Sugar, Water, Sleep
  7. For a great youth preserver, on waking drink 1 litre of water & aim for at least another 1 litre throughout the day
  8. Aim to eat mono meals as much as possible especially throughout the day, this is heaven on digestion
  9. Munch down Date-orade! Blend about 20-30 dates with 1.2 liters of water (how much water depends on your taste). Date-orade is a great to top up on calories.  Sip throughout the day or sit down to a morning/lunch meal. Great for endurance events.
  10. Always be prepared with enough ripe fruit on hand – Buy a box of bananas & let them ripen up so u never go hungry
  11. If u are thirsty then u are already dehydrated, stay on top of hydration or u will encourage wrinkles, headaches, fluid retention & general disharmony in the body.  Clear urine throughout the day – 8-12 times
  12. Keep fat levels low! We are designed to get most of our calories from sweet juicy fruits not fats.  Too much fat in the body raw or cooked inhibits oxygen uptake, transfer & delivery
  13. Stop being a ‘candida-feeder‘ & learn about proper food combing.  Fruit likes to be eaten alone & preferably mono
  14. Get your fruit meal in ideally within an hour of completing your workout to receive optimal training effect.
  15. Squat on the toilet instead of sitting, if we sit it kinks our bowels…there’s no toilets in nature folks! We are ment to squat!
  16. Get the 80-10-10 book by Dr Doug Graham!
  17. Get sunshine on your pink bits as much as possible & reap the benefits of balanced hormones & emotions
  18. Eat before u go out to social occasions & take ripe fruit with u for when u are faced with Canapes at the party
  19. Make sure u are getting 10gms of carbs per kg of body weight per day
  20. In nature we would get 12hrs of sleep by going to bed on sundown & getting up at sunrise, this may not be always possible but this is optimal.
  21. Always have an attitude of gratitude! Write down 4 things u are grateful for daily, some people would give anything to be you.

Ok so there is my list! Implement & receive :)

I’m off to bed, take it easy & eat more fruit!!!

Fear or love?

Frees Mentoring :) Ah the things u come across on your daily outings!… I love being on a bike because I get to see so much randomness. This sign was pointing into a Chemist of all places….I would add to the sign -& lose your health in the process….gotta love fear-marketing.

39kms on the bike today, darting around the crazy city like a busy bee looking for nectar…& I was actually looking for nectar! Fruit that is…which i found in the form of a 10kg melon…Sortof shared it with DR (it’s not really sharing when we go at it – more like 2 hungry monkeys fighting over the last banana).  Anyway we did our best & I got a few happy snappy’s :)

Melon amidst the madness

Mid morning munchies was white mulberries, Ooooh they are so beaut!! Mega sweet, little juicy bursts of sugar in my mouth :) I cleaned up the tree while Dan our fruity friend showed us his ‘tall bike’ that him & his bro crafted…pretty cool huh? (down bottom right page) I made a little vid but it takes hours to download it on here so i will save it for another day.

Me & melon breakfast

I also had some yellow dragonfruit, they were really good, I find it really challenging to decide which is my fav between red, yellow & white, all super sweet & lush.

I’m busy organizing the Raw Retreat 1 week intensive for Dec in North Qld at the momet, thinking of what classes to include in the mix…I’m definitely going to do a few classes on ‘Vision booking’, I have designed my life by using this process & I must say everything has turned out splendidly & continues to do so, the only time it doesn’t is when I lose focus on my goals, get distracted by meaningless nothingness throughout the day or start to allow fear into my reality…

When we step out of fear & into love that’s when our lives really open up to amazing possibilities…Most of us constantly live in a state of fear, always thinking about (& creating mind u)what could go wrong or forever being victims to our pasts…my question is – Does this thought process create a better life for u in any way?  Or does it just serve to keep u complacent & idle?

Love & fear cannot co-exist, where there is one the other can’t be .  Its interesting if u look at the laws we have put down

Dan & his tall bikein society to control our behaviour & that of others..Why? so that we may live in an orderly society?

There is always a deeply engrained fear most peeps have of stepping ‘out of line’…when someone gets ‘out of order’ they may be disliked, fined, jailed or killed.  We think we are free but unless we step into love & out of our comfort zones…we are really jailed within by our fear.

If we created a world without fear then would we need lawyers, courts, police or jails? No way! because every one would trust and care for one another.

This is the world I’m creating…Are u with me?

LFRV makes everyone slim, fit & healthy!

IMG_0494

Spent most of the day on the net today but fortunately started off this morn with my run.  Went a little bit further & tackled the hardest part of the hill (called Corkscrew), its mega steep, DR once rode up it 10times on his bike from 10pm-2am in the middle of winter & he rode the last lap nude!! God he’s a character!!

Today I Munched down about 10 bananas, 10 mangoes, 4kgs oranges, a zuchinni salad with sauce of red caps, tom, celery, mango & basil, really nice (as the pic shows). I have found since eating loads of fruit that my energy has just gone through the roof! I used to be the type who wanted to meditate all the time & now I realize that I was just undercarbed!!!

Every cell in the human body runs on glucose so ofcourse we need to have a steady supply…do u know someone who isn’t interested in exercise at all? Intimately maybe?…Well this is a sure sign of being undercarbed, the bodymind is forced to conserve energy by turning off our exercise motivation because so little is coming in.

Lots of peeps think that eating large quantities of fruit is OVEREATING…but just think about it, there is the same amount of calories in one of the most popular morning adrenal gland whippers – a 600ml iced coffee as there is in 6 big bananas.  A typical workman’s meal is a meat pie, donut & iced coffee, that’s about 1500cals which is equivalent to about 12 large mangoes (or 11pds)….the big difference here is the nutrient & water content contained within fruits..fruit is typically 80% + water so we get the stomach satiation from the water…but half an hour later our bellies go down..if u ate

My lunch bowl

that much volume from cooked food u would need a coffee enema to clean  u out!!  Unfortunately there is a big market for those horrific things…

U can’t overeat on a fruit diet, u may feel full but that is just water fullness.  I can eat 50 pounds of melon in one day & there’s no way I will get fat….am i overeating?? No because that’s only about 3000calories!!  Which is an average day calorie intake for active people.

It’s impossible to become overweight on a low fat raw vegan lifestyle & those who say u can are eating cooked food (just ask them)

Ok that’s enough outta me

Sick of the Diet Merry-Go-Round?

PastaSalad & meplaying

So continuing on from yesterday, I would like to share some links…Alicia Silverstone who is a vegan advocate has just released her first book called ‘The Kind Diet’, read an interview with her here.  Pammy Anderson is vego & does so much great work for our animal friends, check her latest here The Peta Files…

Ok so on to my day…

Did 52kms on the bike today, feeling strong, DR keeps telling me how fit I am so I’m lapping it up! I really feel jogging in the hills every second day has taken me to the next level with my fitness.  I used to cane myself running 10-12kms every day & as a result hit the wall big time & didn’t train for months at one stage….

Anyway I’m back with a smarter program.  Who wants results just for the summer?? I know I don’t, i want a routine that is enjoyable & sustainable.  Haven’t we had enough of being sucked into these ‘LOSE 10KGs in 1 WEEK!’ programs?! Or go on this no fruit diet & get rid of candida!!…or something to that caliber….I know before I went low fat raw vegan I was trying all sorts of fad diets, not only to lose weight but to heal my skin, digestive problems & candida overgrowth, thank god I found the answer!! I talk about it here if u want to check it out…

In other news DR did a bike race today which he thoroughly enjoyed, I took a snap…

DR about to race...

I made  a salad tonight which was ymuuy – sauce of tom, date, parsley, basil & a squeeze of OJ…yeh it looks pretty small right? I know but I had a big date smoothie before it, also indulged in 5 luscious mangoes & 4kgs of oranges earlier, I’m just lovin this all-u-can-eat sugar diet ! ;P

Working for me nicely & has been for the past 2years, previous to that I was raw for 9months before I started undereating & bingeing on cooked food which consequently led to a month of madness… literally!

Anyway I’m not holding up the sleep end of the LFRV lifestyle so I’m off to do that right now.

Thanks for ‘listening’
