Got my first guitar today…
Its a deep blue colour, nylon strings, just a cheapy for a start to learn on. So excited about combining the singing with the guitar, this creative-self exploration is feeling fantastic! Im contra-dealing training with my singing teacher, I put her through her paces & she helps me get intouch with my inner, non-judgemental self and help release my constricted vocal chords! Its all about relaxing seriously and believing & knowing you can sing….im getting there slowly yes but surely.

Merry Everyday ….not just Christmas
Merry Everday is what I decided to say to everyone instead of Merry Christmas. Do we need a special day to feel merry? I don’t think so.

Got a little dehydrated last couple of days…
So Im drinking up as much as possible, today I felt pretty low & spacey due to a dry system. My bodies been lapping up the water real quick especiallly after running in the heat at the moment, must’ve been about 35deg at about 7am this morn.
Have had loads of hydrating fruit too so that’s keeping my electrolyte levels up. Can u believe there is more usable electrolytes in a BITE of banana than in a bottle of Gatorade?!I can and without the artificial colourings & flavourings.
Another ‘stimulant’ Im so lucky i don’t dabble in anymore is caffeine, so dehydrating & taxing on the adrenal glands, it may give you a ‘high’ in the moment but there will always be a come down. My high is natural and comes from exercise & vibrant raw living foods.
Anyway could go on all day bout that….
Yesterdays exercise:
Bike -33kms easy-moderate
run -6kms, kept it easy -burnt 500cals
yoga -15mins
Today:
Bike -6.8kms moderately hard

yoga -10mins

Got this guestbook made for my friends for Chrissy, thats them on the front & I added some flowers & quote
An old photo of this amazing tree supporting me & inturn through my actions I return the favour

Sunday Rest & Market day!
This will last me for about 8days….
“But you can’t eat that much fruit I *hear* you say”!! Ofcourse you can & im thriving proof. The bodymind runs on fructose & glucose, fruit is the preferred & most optimal fuel. Nature didn’t get it wrong. See the fruit, pick it and eat, simple no fuss instinctive….satisfying your ‘sweet tooth’ at every meal.
Off to slee….zzzzzz
Rest Day…well sort of
Today was scheduled rest day (off running) although i felt like running.
32kms easy bike

yoga – 1hr total -spread across 5days

Yipee! Happy with that
Next week i will have exact measurements thanks to my new watch – More precise distance, calorie count, pace…exciting!
Running in Monsoonal rains!
Went for a run this morning to mainly calibrate my new watch which tells speed and distance, I ended up running over 10kms i’d say in monsoonal rains!! People were pressing there faces against their car windows fogging the glass up with screwed up she’s-obviously-crazy faces! Don’t blame them but it wasn’t raining when i started out and when it did I thought ‘What the heck! whats the worst thing that could happen to me?!- get wet?? Well i usually am wet with sweat half my run anyway so i figured id go for it, it was challenging but great!
Here’s a post-run drowned fruit bat photo
Heres where i have a shower everymorning (well second today) & drink from I just use the ladel and pour it over myself & drink at the same time, its pure bliss and rainwater is so energizing!!
My footpod (yes very technical) for measuring distance and pace.
Don’t just eat anything green from the garden…
Was out picking my greens for the evening meal and found an interesting looking green (in the dark i might add) and intelligently thought i would munch a whole leaf down…smart.
Nothing happened initially but then about 3mins later after id eaten another I started to feel like i had a mouthful of pins down my throat and in my mouth, this feeling intensified until my mouth was basically paralysed. I thought this is obviously a warning sign and could be very poisonous so i went to the bathroom and threw it all up, another 10mins and my mouth and throat calmed down, it is still sore now but fine.
What a great lesson, I had visions of ‘Into the Wild’…has anyone seen it? I recommend you get it out, fantastic movie and soundtrack with Eddy Vedder is incredible.
ANyway in other less dramatic news…
Slow Recovery jog – 9.5kms in 63mins
Bike – 14.2kms
Lots more rain today but lovely temperature, rode in the full on rain and lapped it up literally!
